Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse

This was my first time eating at Fogo de Chao. I had heard great things about the Westheimer location but never made it by. Today was a treat, for sure! So I’ll give a few extra details in case some of you are curious how it works. My guests and I were seated and greeted with large dinner plates. There is a colorful buffet-style setup referred to as the market table. Check out the TikTok here and you’ll be able to see the extent of it. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRaTxP3T/ The market table has several salads, cold cuts, artichoke hearts, hummus, tabouli, caprese, hearts of palm and a LOT more.
We grabbed our “sides” and flipped our little cards over to the green side to indicate we were ready for the meat mafia to swarm our table with luxurious, glistening towers of meat, chicken, pork, lamb, sausage and several others. Every meat I tasted was so tender and well-seasoned. We got a little VIP treatment today and were brought a beautiful bowl of shrimp cocktail and a gorgeous wagyu ribeye served on a sizzling salt rock and sliced table-side.
This hunk of meat was so sexy. Coarse salt was dramatically sprinkled over the top and the steak was placed in the center of our table. The meat was medium rare and melted in my mouth like warm butter. I ate several slices, some with chimichurri and some without. They also have snapper and salmon if you’d prefer and even a grilled cauliflower steak if you’d like to enjoy a vegetarian experience.
We tried all three available desserts; creme brûlée, cheesecake topped with blueberries and served with a side of blueberry sauce and a chocolate cheesecake made with a chocolate candy popular in Brazil. Perla googled it at the table and can comment the name. I’m drawing a blank. All three desserts were so decadent with the creme brûlée being the most light-tasting and the chocolate cheesecake being the most rich and intense.
We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back soon! Management introduced themselves to me and a few of them have been BAHFL members for a while! Perhaps I’ll have an announcement early January regarding card participation, but until then they’d love to meet members of the group and treat you to a memorable experience. There is a private area that can hold up to 50 guests and accommodations can be made for slightly larger groups.
